There is a small file version of the slide show for people with slow phone connections. It will take about 10 minutes on a 28.8K modem (but only 20 seconds on a broadband connection). It's somewhat disappointing to watch, but it gives you a flavor of the show.
The better of the two files sized for phone connections is the medium file. It takes about 12 minutes on a 56K modem, and nearly 1/2 hour on a slow 28.8K modem. It has a more reasonable picture and sound. If you have a broadband connection and are in too much of a hurry to wait for one of the larger files, this one takes about 1 minute 15 seconds on a fast connection, but you should go for one of the larger files for the best effect.
If you've got a fast connection (a cable modem, DSL line, or similar fast connection), download one of the two larger files. The large file takes about 2 to 4 minutes to download over a fast connection. It has good image quality, but a small image size. This is about the biggest file (7MB) I would try to download over a phone connection. It will take about 25 minutes on a 56K modem, and about twice as long on a 28.8K phone connection.
For the best image, about as good as the distribution copies I made on CD and video tape, download the huge file. This is about 13 MB in size, and will take 4 to 7 minutes over a cable modem, depending upon how busy the system is. If you have a fast connection, this file is more than worth the wait. If you're still using a phone line to connect, it's barely possible to download on a 56K modem (nearly an hour for the 13MB) and up to 2 hours on a 28.8K phone line.
